NYLON (Non Absorbable Suture) Monofilament synthetic suture non-absorbable color black or blue. Obtained from extrusion of polyamide 6.6 with a uniform cylindrical diameter. The tissue reaction is minimum. Nylon is a non-absorbable material that with time is encapsulated by connective tissue. It is known that the thread mass diminishes, approximatelyby 10% a year by the rupture of chemical links in a hydrolytic action. Color code: Green label. Normally used in various ways of confronting tissue like neurological, ophthalmic and plastic surgery.
